Bends galore
Germany, Ennepetal, 23th
March 2009 – The sports shock absorbers fitted by car maker Artega
Automobil GmbH & Co. KG to its first standard production model are
made by ThyssenKrupp BILSTEIN Tuning GmbH. Originally, the Artega GT
was a showcase vehicle from the supplier paragon AG, designed to
document the company's elevation to a systems partner for the
automotive industry. The resulting standard model perfectly
demonstrates the expertise and innovative capacity of this company,
based in Germany's Westphalia region. BILSTEIN provided the O.E.
expertise in terms of suspension technology - to ensure that the power
of this high-performance sports car is expressed in superior grip and
excellent road holding, the chassis on the Artega GT includes four
BILSTEIN shock absorbers that transmit the driver's sporty style on to
all road surfaces and through every bend.
BILSTEIN sports shock absorbers are the ideal complement to the
character of the powerful Artega GT. Its rear-mounted 3.6 litre V6
direct injection engine produces around 300 hp and does 0-100 km/h (0-60
mph) in 4.8 seconds. With a top speed of 273 km/h (170 mph),
the Artega is a swift mover, competing with other fast and finely
fashioned cars. Comfortable, yet boasting all the requisite sporty
attributes, the BILSTEIN sports shock absorbers easily handle
everything a sporty driver would expect from a car like this.
The
development partnership between Artega Automobil and BILSTEIN enabled
the engineers from both sides to determine and achieve the required
driving dynamics, stability and damping force for this powerful sports
car. BILSTEIN supplies the suspension components direct to the car
manufacturer in Delbrück, Westphalia, for completion of the chassis.
